FHI Heat recently appeared on NBC's celebrity news show Extra, the second longest-running entertainment magazine on television. On the May 14th, 2012 episode, FHI Heat's President Shauky Gulamani was seen alongside host Mario Lopez at The Grove in Los Angeles as the company was featured as the Extra Friends with Benefits Giveaway of the day, offering viewers the chance to win one of five Platform Flat Irons.
Extra incorporates social networking by featuring Extra Friends, its social network, on the show. Extra Friends showcases exciting prizes and events offered through the nightly broadcast, but also among social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare.
