According to Williams, the inspiration behind the hairstyle was Dewan-Tatum's straining eyes. Said Williams, "I love Jenna’s darker hair color in contrast to the white dress and really wanted to show off her eyes." This led him to create the sleek, modern ponytail with just a hint of texture.

- To get this look, first Derek started with Jenna’s hair towel dried and applied KMS California FREESHAPE hot flex crème and blew it dry straight using a flat brush.
- Once dry, Derek went over Jenna’s hair with a flat iron for a more smooth finish, concentrating it on the ends of her hair. Then he ran a dime sized amount of KMS California SILKSHEEN polishing serum throughout her hair for shine and brushed it back into a low, sleek ponytail.
- To finish off the look Derek sprayed Jenna’s ponytail with KMS California HAIRSTAY dry xtreme hairspray to give the ponytail some slight texture and movement.
