The show floor at Premiere Orlando was buzzing with stylists and salon owners looking for the latest in hair care products and tools.

The Beauty Launchpad team had our boots on the ground with the mission to visit as many vendors as possible to see what is new and exciting in the industry. We noticed product launches were trending in curls, tech, scalp care and color, and we get into detail on these introductions below.

1. Curl Care

New on the professional hair dryer market is Dyson's Supersonic r for faster drying and precision styling. This hair dryer is certainly like nothing I have ever seen before, being lighter, smaller and shaped differently. The Supersonic r is for stylists only, requiring a license for purchase. The dryer streamlines and evenly heats the airflow and is said to prevent heat damage. https://www.dyson.com

After hearing from clients that smoothing treatments become less effective from a large bottle over time due to oxidation, Kerapod sought to design smoothing treatments in one time use containers. Formulated with Kalahari melon seed oil and a protein complex, the smoothing treatment was created to strengthen hair, smooth hair and reduce frizz. https://www.kerapod.com

Don't call it a razor. If you saw the the Calligraphy Cut, you would undoubtedly be as curious as us. The Calligraphy Cut has a blade like a razor, but the three degree inclined sharp blade cuts constantly at a 21 degree angle, gliding smoothly through the hair. The company notes that there is up to 300% larger surface area for more volume, less split ends, more shine and healthy hair. https://us.calligraphy-cut.com/

3. Scalp

No doubt, the scalp is a major focus for many stylists, salons and manufacturers alike. We were excited to see a number of scalp launches in the market.

We ran across Truff Luv at the show, and though we were originally intrigued by the fun play on words, we discovered some great products surrounding signature ingredient truffle. In the Truffle Mask, black truffle microcapsules release to deposit vitamins A, D and E, as well as omega 3 and 6, on the hair and scalp to promote healthy hair growth. https://truffluv.com

We had so much fun at the Pulp Riot booth at Premiere, where the decor, the looks and, of course, the color were literally out of this world. The Cosmic Collection from the brand is an extraterrestrial inspired trio of vivids: Asteroid, a cerulean; Exoplanet, a bright magenta; and Dark Matter, an electric violet. https://www.pulpriothair.com

After learning about Clairol Professional's new lightener BW2+, we were excited to see it in action at the show. This multi-use lightener can be used for all over lightening, highlights and balayage. It can lift up to 9 levels, and the creamy consistency makes application easy and allows you to see the lift during the process. Make sure you check out more about this amazing lightener in our upcoming July/August blondes issue. https://us.wella.professionalstore.com
