Your Best Blonde Just Got Better

Blp Cover Option 2

Summer is the perfect time for blonde, but the right products and techniques are paramount. We went to Clairol Professional Senior Brand Education Manager Evelyn Ayala to have her weigh in on what blonde looks are trending, a special new launch from Clairol Pro and how BW2+ can bring you so much lift with versatility.

Beauty Launchpad (BLP): What blonde shades are hot right now?

Evelyn A BlpEvelyn Ayala (EA): We’re seeing the trend leaning towards effortlessly chic, low-maintenance blonde shades that complement individual skin tones and starting base. From platinum to dirty blonde, expect almond lowlights or subtle balayage and touches of honey gold refined tones. We’re happy to launch BW2+ during this time because we’re able to achieve these different looks.

BLP: What makes BW2+ special?

EA: With up to 9 levels of lift, the versatility of being able to use it in various ways and its creamy texture sounds like a dream product for anyone seeking to achieve the perfect blonde. The ability to easily mix it to the desired consistency and its vegan formula are added bonuses, and the inclusion of a white powder for more accurate color readings is a thoughtful touch for an easy application.

BW2+ powder lightener is designed to making the blonde coloring process more accessible and customizable. It can be used both on and off scalp, which is also a new feature. People also really love this formula to lighten hair extensions, wigs and weaves.

BLP: BW2 has such a strong heritage. Why change the formula now?

EA: Keeping up with industry standards is crucial for staying competitive and meeting the evolving needs of consumers. Updating our ingredient story to reflect a more sustainable approach is not only important with current trends, but by omitting animal-derived ingredients, it can appeal to consumers who prioritize vegan-friendly options and are conscious of the impact their purchasing decisions have on animals and the environment. Our loyal customer base was looking for this, as well as improved performance, which speaks to our brand’s commitment to innovation.

BLP: Are there any usage changes from the previous formula?

EA: Expect up to 9 levels of lift, granting versatility for achieving diverse blonde looks, from subtle to striking. With a customizable mixing ratio ranging from 1:1 to 1:2, users can tailor the consistency to their needs. This empowers a range of people that use our products, who are then able to personalize BW2+ for anyone going blonde, considering hair type, texture and desired outcome, ensuring precise and satisfying results for clients.
