Hairstylist Kaylie Babajan recently had a client come in looking to revamp her hair color for summer. Says Kaylie, "My client was a first time client and her exact words were, 'I'm too all-over blonde!' So we opted to lower and blend her base and brighten her ends, rather than continue her full foil-base bump process from before."
The final result is a gorgeous, natural-looking ombré that's perfect for long days at the beach and warm summer nights. Below, Kaylie shares her how-to so you can recreate the look for your own client!
Get the Look:
- Says Kaylie, "[I used] Aveda Permanent 3N at the base with 4.5N in the Demi line on the mid-shaft. Apply both colors to each section of hair, comb through and then move to the next section.
- "Apply base to all sections and then paint Aveda Enlightener (bleach) with 30 volume and Olaplex on the mid-shaft, and 10 volume and Olaplex to ends.
- "Process the bleach for 20 minutes and rinse.
- "Soap cap in the shampoo bowl to really help blend any possible harsh lines that are left and tone with Aveda Demi 0N (0N is pretty much a clear gloss) with additional blue and violet tones to cut any remaining unwanted warmth."
