Larry Oskin of Art Beautique ~ Featured Artist: Sandy Farnsworth and Erika Shanoff of The Clermont Downtown Partnership are proud to announce that Larry Oskin has been named as the new ‘Featured Artist’ for the 2017 Downtown Clermont Art Festival. Originally from Buffalo, New York; Oskin has exhibited his artwork in private art galleries and city museums. He has exhibited at the famous Albright-Knox Art Gallery, considered one of the ten best modern art museums in the world. Oskin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design in Advertising. He is certified in Art Education. He completed advanced studies in commercial and fine art photography, sculpture, painting and ceramics while studying at the State University College of New York at Buffalo. Earlier in his career, Oskin was Director of Marketing for Circle Fine Art, which was respected as the world’s largest fine art publisher and art gallery chain. He provided marketing and PR services for Peter Max, Erté, Yaacov Agam, Norman Rockwell, LeRoy Neiman, Marcel Mouley, Walt Disney Studios and many internationally respected artists. Oskin also served as Vice President of Regis Corporation and Creative Hairdressers / Hair Cuttery. Oskin is a member of the Winter Garden Art League. Oskin is currently President of Art Beautique and Marketing Solutions.
Oskin’s Art Beautique Collections: Oskin celebrates ‘Beauty & Glamour’, ‘Flowers & Nature’, ‘Cityscapes & Seascapes’, ‘Animals’, ‘Americana’ ‘World Capitals’ and ‘Judaica & Religion’ with seven different fine art photography collections. Through a special photo impressionism technique, Art Beautique images actually look like impressionistic paintings, using bright, bold and vivid colors. Oskin notes, “My artwork is very stylized. Photography remains one of our best artistic forms of creative media and visual expression. Through the fine art of photography, we are able to share what we can see, sense and feel, yet not touch! With photography, we can share the instant of a beautiful sunrise, sunset and cloud, which may only otherwise be a mere quick memory. With fine art photography, we are able to enjoy the memory of smiles, happiness, sorrow, love, warmth, friendship, beauty and spirit as well as to remember the unique joy we may have experienced from a complete array of emotions. A picture may only be worth 1000 words, while little else will compare when you are able to capture any special moment in time!” Oskin is also the ‘Official Photographer for various state and national beauty pageants.
