Calling all hair professionals! Denman Professional Tools launches its annual Stage Star USA search on April 17, 2023.
Stage Star is Denman’s search to find the industry’s newest platform artist. The national winner will get an all expenses paid trip to compete for the global title at Salon International in October 2023, plus education, trips and LOTS of tools.
Stage Star: Eric Wright
The current Denman Stage Star USA title holder is salon owner Eric Wright of Eric Marshall Salon in Nashville, Tennessee. To enter Stage Star, hair professionals are invited to submit a two-minute video explaining why they are the one to win the title, finalists are then invited to demo live on IG to show off their skills.

Eric says, “I took time to study the tools and the model number and think about which tool I wanted to use for my model. My model was my best friend Stephanie. I have done her hair many times, and I wanted my delivery to be as authentic and natural as possible, so I actually didn’t practice for the live.”
Eric’s energy, product knowledge and finish secured him the title, and in a just a few months, he was on his way to London. “My experience was incredible. I have only been to hair shows in the USA, so the fact that I could go to London, compete for Stage Star’s Global title and attend the international hair show was, well…I can’t even put in words. I felt kind of out of place being an American, but at the same time, it was eye opening to see the styles, how they act on stage and how they do hair. Everyone was so nice, my trip and meeting everyone from Denman was so much fun. The fact that I got to explore London on my own was one of my top 10 travel experiences ever!”
How To Apply
To enter Stage Star, hair professionals are invited to submit a two minute video explaining why they are the one to win the title. Finalists are then invited to demo live on Instagram to show off their skills.

Eric’s advice on applying for Denman Stage Star USA…”EVERYONE should apply for this! I got to meet so many people in London, and now I have new friends from overseas. I received all kinds of tools that I didn’t even know were available to purchase and I now I am 100% Denman tools and I don’t know what I would do without them. You have nothing to lose. I sent the first video I shot, and I recommend that you be totally natural and be yourself!”
