Up Your Hair Painting Game With Expert Balayage Techniques

Img 6056If you’ve been “dyeing” to learn how to paint a seamless balayage, you’re in luck. Jessica Scott Santo (@jessicascotthair), an educator with Sunlights Balayage, is hosting an interactive, hands-on class on Sunday June 3, 2018 at Tangles Salon and Spa in Easton, PA. “It’s important for hairstylists to be up to date with the latest balayage techniques because color techniques and color lines are always evolving,” Santo explains. “As stylists, we want to make sure we meet the client’s expectation when she sits in our chair shows us a picture.”

Santos has been in the industry for 10 years and is currently a manager and master stylist at Tangles Salon & Spa. Although she has only been an educator for Sunlights since earlier this year, she’s been a longtime user of the product. “The lightener is amazing,” she says, explaining that with proper technique and application, you can “get up to seven levels of lift in under 30 minutes.”

In the daylong class you’ll learn basic and advanced balayage application, highlighting and lowlighting with balayage, how to achieve maximum lift with a balayage lightener, how to cover gray with balayage, and how to transition foil clients to balayage clients. Tripods, mannequins, clips, balayage brushes and combs will be provided—as will a light lunch. “I love balayage because it’s so seamless and low maintenance for the client.” And just for good measure, she’ll share some Instagram tips and tricks on how to gain followers, increase engagement and how to be featured on pages like @beautylaunchpad.
