On Wednesday, June 10th, 2015, Farouk Systems USA partnered with Lil' Audrey's Safe Place Foundation House, bringing gift bags filled with CHI and BioSilk products to residents and staff, in response to The Miss Universe Organization (MUO)'s challenge to participate in a humanitarian effort to help pilot MUO's #beMOREthanPRETTY campaign. According to a press release from the company, Farouk Systems USA "partnered with this foundation not only to take initiative to reach out to an organization within [their] own community, but to also to develop a platform on issues and causes that [the brand is] passionate about."
MUO's #beMOREthanPRETTY campaign aims to support and draw attention to various philanthropic efforts and encourages sponsors/participants to support a charity that empowers young women with increased knowledge, interests and opportunities.
Farouk Systems USA was "overjoyed" to work with Lil' Audrey's Safe Place Foundation House, an organization known for its work with assisting aged-out foster youth. They work to provide young women with homeschooling and transportation for those still in high school and, post-high school, they assist women with registering for college and working in order to help facilitate success in some form of post-secondary education. Lil’ Audrey’s House provides meals, housing, job training and placement, drug counseling, budgeting and saving plans. They also work to help rescue youths from prostitution and work to place them in safe unknown homes until re-entry.
