The hair and makeup design teams at the Gila Rut Aveda Salons in San Diego, California recently released their latest collection: BE WITCHED! As part of the new MYSTIC Gallery collection, BE WITCHED! comes just in time for the changing season with haunting silhouettes and dark, dramatic, Gothic glamour.
The collection casts a captivating spell, showcasing the darker, more shadowy side of beauty. The hair features Gila Rut’s new softly-structured GEO-SHAPES - edgy techno-cuts, finely chiseled all around with a defining GEO-FRINGE at the heart of each look. Stylists pinned, combed and wrapped fine black netting to anchor and adorn the hair, hug bare shoulders and accessorize vintage black dresses with endless skirted layers.
The makeup team was inspired by vintage New Orleans-esque glamour in creating a "witchy woman" look with smokey shadows (black and black/green), layers of iridescent eye liner, fake lashes on brows and eyelashes, and deep red lips and nails. One of the BE WITCHED! makeup looks showcases a dramatic half-moon mask, artfully drawn with liners connecting forehead and eyes for an intriguing, alluring result.
