America's Beauty Show unveiled its plans for its 2024 show at the America's Beauty Show and Cosmetologists Chicago Press Conference and Show Preview.
The 2024 show is set to take place April 20 - 22, 2024 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The theme for the show is "WHAT'S NEXT."
"WHAT'S NEXT embodies imagination and wisdom," explains Megan Goggin, Director of Marketing for America's Beauty Show. "WHAT'S NEXT encapsulates creativity with an approachable feel."
Ulta Beauty's Nick Stenson, Senior Vice President of Store & Services Operations, and Anna Manukyan, Senior Director of Education and Creative, created the collection for the 2024 show. They were inspired by late '90s and Y2K trends and maximalism.
"When you see the colors of this year and you see the energy, what we wanted it to really emulate was vibrancy, excitement, joy — everything that's happening in the industry right now and bringing it to life in a way that's aspirational but still obtainable," Stenson shared of the inspiration for the collection.
Maximalism also serves as the theme for the 2024 Global Image Awards, with competitors being invited to submit collections that feature bold color palettes, layered photography, bold typography and repeating elements that will grab attention. Open to all licensed beauty professionals and students, competitors can submit entries until January 25, 2024. Finalists will be announced on February 20 and the winners will be revealed on April 20 at ABS.
The 2024 show also promises plenty of opportunities for education with three stages, 30+ classrooms and over 350 classes. Attendees have the opportunity to earn CEUs.
The show floor will offer plenty of opportunities for attendees to add or restock their salon arsenal with brands like BaBylissPRO, Amika, Olaplex, Hattori Hanzo Shears, Olivia Garden, Sutra Beauty, Light Elegance, Kokoist, Glitterbels, Gelish and more exhibiting.
New in 2024 is the Healthcare and Wellness Pavilion, sponsored by Fruitful Yield. The pavilion will offer opportunities to learn health and wellness tips with health chats and insight from natural health supplement brands.
