News: Master Colorist Rick Wellman and Team Join John Sahag Workshop

Master Colorist Rick Wellman and his expert team, Jeffery Pearce and Mary Cohen, join John Sahag Workshop’s 425 Madison Avenue location, bringing his artistic vision and signature color to Sahag’s renowned style. Formerly of the Patrick Melville Salon, Wellman is most known for his low maintenance, less severe, signature technique, Biolights, which results in brilliant colored hair with depth and movement.

With more than 20 years experience, Wellman is widely recognized as one of the most talented and innovative colorists in the world. He is responsible for creating beautiful color results for global hair color companies including Wella, Clairol, and Garnier (L'Oreal), as well as brands like Pantene and Herbal Essence. His celebrity roster includes Brooke Shields, Christina Hendricks, Mariska Hargitay, and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as Clairol Spokesmodel (and former Miss Universe) Daynara Torres and supermodel Petra Nemcova.

Just as John Sahag was passionate about creating shapes that enhanced a woman’s beauty, Wellman is passionate about color as an enhancement to beautiful styling. Wellman’s color techniques, married to the beauty enhancing Sahag Dry Cutting Method, will leave women looking and fabulous. Now, Sahag’s artistic shapes will be enhanced with hues of light, shadow and color.
