Dermalogica "Steps Up" and Receives Recognition at Annual Inspiration Awards

Dermalogica Founder Jane Wurwand brought an audience of over seven hundred women to their feet as she accepted an award presented by Step Up Women’s Network (SUWN) at its eighth annual Inspiration Awards held at the Beverly Hilton on June 10.  The global skin care brand was awarded the honor in recognition of its philanthropic efforts in supporting women in its 25 year history and for launching its new global program called joinFITE (www.joinFITE.org), which aims to help 25,000 women to start or grow a business.

Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps presented the award to Jane Wurwand as the highlight of the gala luncheon. Also presenting and speaking were actress and R & B singer Tatyana Ali, and actress Nikki Reed from the Twilight series. Haul video sensations, Blair and Elle Fowler were also in attendance.

The Dermalogica Foundation has supported SUWN in the form of mentoring, hosting events, education, and donations for several years. Wurwand, a luminary member, is personally involved in the program and continues to mentor SUWN teen girls.
