Judging the Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge

Talk about an honor! I just arrived home from the Goldwell headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, where I was a judge for the American Color Zoom Challenge. Phew! There were 158 submissions in three categories with each contestant presenting his or her best interpretation of the 2010 Goldwell Just Naked lifestyle collection. The judging took most of the day, with a welcome break for a scrumptious crab cake lunch and a photo op with president, Mario Argenti.

Faatemah Ampey of Shear Genius fame was also one of the judges for the Goldwell event. (Psst: I'm the gal with the shocking red hair!)

Alas, we were given the task to narrow the 158 entrants to just 15 national semifinalists. (The international Color Zoom event will be held in Paris in October!) If you entered the competition, please allow me to congratulate you for going the extra mile to show us your work! Jeryl E. Spear, exec editor
