Riqua Hailes, owner of Just Extensions Salon in Los Angeles, is constantly asked about the origin of the hair used in extensions. She did not have the answer, so she decided to pack her bags and find out for herself, hiring a film crew to document every step of the way. After traveling to China, Malaysia, Cambodia and India, Riqua returned with many answers. She found herself intrigued by the story behind every community and how they contribute to this billion-dollar industry.
Riqua has launched a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of raising $25k which will all go to editing and submission fees to submit her documentary to the film festival circuit. Check out her Kickstarter page HERE!
