Lori Panarello of I.d salon in New York is taking guests short and undercut for the spring/summer. The beauty of the cut is its versatility - it can be styled in multiple ways, depending on the client's mood. This serves as a walking advertisement for versatility and an icebreaker for starting a conversation about styling.
“I definitely find that when a client in the salon is getting a new look, it starts conversations between them and their friends which is great for my business," says Panarello. "Short is really hot now - so is shaving one side - so I did both for [this] guest. It’s an edgy look, but even when more conservative guests see it, it starts a conversation about trying something new and certain elements can be applied to any style."
Adds Patrick McIvor, Artistic and TechniCulture Director for Goldwell and KMS California, “This is perfect content for Pinterest or Facebook; guests love seeing one cut styled in multiple ways because everyone wants options."
