ng Salon is the brainchild of the three Hilario siblings: Fiona, Monique and Paolo. All business graduates, their keen foresign and business acumen were honed from years of training from competitive business schools. It all began when Fiona and Monique tried to satisfy their hair removal needs through the Manila Metro's range of beauty parlors. They experienced lengthy waiting time, uncomfortable beds and the most traumatic encounters—but there was no alternative.

Frustrated with establishments that treated hair removal only as a sideline service, and therefore were not looking to improve their facilities, the sisters finally conceptualized a salon specializing in hair removal alone. The concept behind Lay Bare is a deviation from the mainstream all-around beauty salons. Fiona and Monique wanted to develop a hair removal boutique model, where the salon concentrates on providing a full range of body hair removal services.

Today, Fiona is the chairman of the entire chain. At the onset of operations, Fiona began to manage Lay Bare full-time. Monique oversees Training and Marketing, while Paolo is in charge of Business Development and Information Systems Management. The first Lay Bare salon was opened in Manila, Philippines in June 2006. A second branch shortly followed in just 6 months. We started franchising in 2008 and now have branches all over the Philippines. After opening more than 50 branches nationwide, we decided to put up one here in Studio City, California, and now have a total of 3 in the USA with the opening of Westfield Topanga and Northridge Fashion Center branches.
