Whether you remember a young Marie Osmond singing with her brothers, or you’ve seen her award-winning Las Vegas show, or you recognize her as the Nutrisystem spokeswoman, everyone knows the legendary singer, songwriter, and author who’s been dazzling audiences for decades. On February 11, 2014, Marie will dazzle a new crop of future beauty professionals at the Paul Mitchell Schools Caper event, taking the stage to entertain and thank the students on behalf of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which she cofounded with her family and actor John Schneider. The Paul Mitchell Schools annual FUNraising campaign has donated $850,000 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to date, and the organization is one of the supported charities for the 2014 campaign, which launched on January 28, 2014. Marie is a frequent and popular visitor to Caper and to the annual FUNraising Gala, which she co-hosted in 2012.
Along with Marie Osmond, the superstar lineup for the 29th annual Caper event includes motivational speaker and author Lizzie Velasquez, whose recent TEDx Austin Women’s YouTube video has received over 4 million hits; hearing-impaired comedian and inspirational speaker Kathy Buckley and deaf actor John Autry, who has appeared on Glee; plus world-class presentations and hands-on classroom rotations featuring top artists, educators, and artistic directors from inside and outside the Paul Mitchell world.
Held February 10–12, 2014, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the smoke-free, alcohol-free, hands-on educational extravaganza will draw roughly 2,500 students (they call them “future professionals”) for two days of nonstop education, motivation, inspiration, and fashion.
