Travis Manning, owner of Hail the Hair King Salon of Bloomington, IL was named grand prize winner, while Stacey Meyer of the Stacy James Salon in Parker, CO came in second and Gina Flores of Hair Studio Sonterra of San Antonio, TX took home third place. Fourth place went to Natasha Latina of Salon Pasca of Wilmington, DE, who was awarded a $100 gift certificate. Prizes for third and second place were a $150 and $200 gift certificate, respectively, while Manning, the grand prize winner was awarded a full set of So.Cap. Original USA Hair Extensions.
For the So.Cap. Original USA Hair Extensions Pinterest Contest, participants were required to create a contest board on the Pinterest website where they were able to upload before and after makeover photos showing off their extension skills. Entries were also linked to Facebook, and other social media sites, and "Reward Points" were offered for a set number of "likes." Regarding the vast array of entries, General Manager at So.Cap. Original USA Hair Extensions, Stéphanie Veissier stated, "We are thrilled with our Pinterest contest winners and all the great entries! This new Internet contest was a fun way to engage our member salons and let them show off their hair extension artistry. We wanted to showcases their talents and share their positive experiences with our products while spreading the word about So.Cap. Original USA Hair Extensions!"
The contest's grand prize winner, Travis Manning is an expert hair extensionist and has successfully recreated his entire business model by focusing on extensions. In addition, he began expanding his work online, creating interest in his work through the use of before and after photos.
