Jose Eber and Jaclyn Smith Bring Hope to Cancer Patients

Celebrity hairstylist Jose Eber came to City of Hope cancer research and treatment center in Duarte, California, to pamper women’s cancer patients. The women in attendance had either lost their hair or are in the process of growing it back. Patients received wig fittings, hair consultations and styling and cosmetology tips. All wigs were donated to patients by Jaclyn Smith and were customized for each woman.

p>“I’m really excited for them to pick out a wig for me,” enthused Susan Davis, who is being treated for breast cancer at City of Hope. “It’s hard for me to do this on my own.”

Cheryl Shepherd, who is being treated for breast cancer at City of Hope, said the new hairstyle is perfect. It’s almost exactly how she use to look before she lost her hair to treatment. “I feel alive again,” Shepherd said.

Launchpad spoke to Eber (video here!), who shared his feelings of joy upon being able to help these patients.
