Emmys 2013 Hairstyles: Claire Danes' Faux Bob How-To

Is it real? That was the debate last night as millions watched Emmys red carpet and saw Claire Danes with what appeared to be a freshly cut bob. But in actuality, as many of you probably knew instantly, it was a faux show, created by Peter Butler for John Frieda.

Butler gave Danes a low side part and used a large-barreled curling iron to curl her hair inward, which also added smoothness to the style. He then created two small pin curls at the nape of her neck to help reduce bulk. Butler then combed the top of her hair down and under, pinning into the base. He finished off with hairspray and a shine-enhancing glossing mist.

So now the question becomes, should Danes head to the chopping block and get a bob for real? Sound off on our Facebook page!

Oh, and one more bit of insider info: Celebrity makeup artist Matin Maulawizada did an amazing job—her skin looked flawless and did you see her arms? To give her skin that glowing finish all over, Matin used Leonor Greyl’s Huile Secret de Beauté!
