Reason I became a hairstylist:
I became a hairstylist, because I wanted to hang out with cute girls. I took Cosmetology in high school and it was a great way to leave campus and have fun.
Best advice I ever received regarding my career in hair/beauty:
The best advice I ever received was “Never stop learning.”
Best advice I would give to a new hairstylist starting out:
Never stop learning, and find a great place to work where you can grow. Look at people’s work and not just listen to their words.
Funniest thing that ever happened to me in a salon:
During holiday season, I’d get Starbucks gift cards from clients and the stylist that worked next to me got Skinny Girl Vodka and other various alcohol from clients. At the end of the day we would just laugh at each other and say “What do you think our clients are trying to tell us?”
