The best advice I ever received is to never chase the money or glory. Follow your passion and dreams and the rest will come, and you will never work a day in your life.
Advice that I would give a new designer is:
Find a mentor, someone that inspires you. Learn from them, everything that they are willing to share. Take your time in the beginning of your career. You must first walk before you run. Never stop learning, become passionately curious about everything.
