Reason we became hairstylists: We all entered the industry for very different reasons! One team member entered the industry simply to learn a trade to help pay his way through college, and ended up falling in love with hair! Another had been dreaming of being a hair dresser since childhood. Very different paths have brought our team together, and that's the most exciting energy to have in the salon!
Best advice I ever received regarding my career in hair/beauty: Best advice I would give to a new hairstylist starting out: You are ultimately rewarded for how hard you work not by simply 'showing' up and participating. This goes for editorial styling and your business behind the chair. It's often that new stylists from younger generations seek to be rewarded simply for showing up and putting in minimal effort. But it's those that show up early, work harder than others, stay later, work beyond their “job description” that will be rewarded.
