Reason I became a makeup artist:
I became a makeup artist because I wanted to extend my craft. I started out as a hairdresser. I have always loved painting and sculpture, which is what makeup is.
Best advice I ever received regarding my career in hair/beauty:
Don't be afraid of your own success by putting limits on yourself.
Best advice I would give to a new hairstylist starting out:
Enjoy the journey along the way to where you are going. Be patient, our industry is based on experience. It doesn't come over night. If you want to be great, you have to practice your craft a lot and push yourself to always be better. Be passionate about what you are doing, but remember it's just lipstick.
Funniest thing that ever happened to me in a salon:
Everyday there is something to laugh about, this is why I am in this industry. It's reality TV at it's finest!
