This holiday season, Oribe asked its network of stylists to create a festive look and show others how to achieve it on camera. Our Holiday Hair Video Contest was a huge success, with stylists from salons all over the US and Canada sending in submissions that were creative, entertaining and educational. The panel of judges, which included an online beauty and fashion editor, a professional videographer and members of the Oribe Education Team, had a hard time choosing their favorites, but we’re thrilled to announce that Joe Bae, Gabe Walton and Amanda Joseph from Obadiah Salon in Bellevue, WA, were named the winners! Their video features a couple helping each other get ready for a holiday party. Here is how they described their entry:
We wanted to provide a timeless, classic look that anyone can wear. It has a twist of elegance, but it's fun for any evening occasion. Put on a sexy, sleek or sophisticated dress and be prepared to catch the attention of anyone. We also wanted to inspire couples on how hair can be done. Why can't your boyfriend or husband do your hair? Let's see how creative our significant other can be with a little direction!
Yanin Colmenero from Umbrella Salon in San Jose, CA, and Jana Rago from Salon Acote in Boston were the runners up.
The entries were also posted on the Oribe Facebook page, where thousands of people voted on their favorite videos. The winner of the Facebook Fan Favorite Contest was Selda Dauti of The Beauty Lounge in West Bloomfield Township, MI.
