Season two of the hit series Revenge came to an end Saturday night, at a wrap party attended by the entire cast at L.A.’s Pink Taco. Joico sponsored the event, and prior to the party, series star Ashley Madekwe (left) called on Joico International Celebrity Spokesperson George Papanikolas to create her red carpet hairstyle.
The look that George created was casual and flirty, with loose waves and plenty of shine. He reveals that the secret to the style was the Joico Smooth Cure collection—Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-In Rescue Treatment and Thermal Styling Protectant. To get Ashley’s style, George applied the Smooth Cure Leave-In Rescue Treatment to her clean, damp hair and dried and smoothed her strands with a large round brush and blow dryer. Next he created a center part and divided her hair into large, vertical sections. He misted each section with Smooth Cure Thermal Styling Protectant, and wrapped the hair around a one-inch iron, beginning at brow level on each strand and omitting the ends for an easy, casual wave effect. Once the hair cooled, he gently blended each section with an oval styling brush and finished with Joico Power Spray Fast-Dry Finishing Spray for long-lasting, flexible hold.
Revenge star Ashley has worked with Joico already, being a new face in their Drab to Fab webisode series. The starlet joined cast members at Pink Taco, West Hollywood, where the party had a taco bar, drinks served by Svedka, a photo booth, and beauty bar provided by Joico. The cast all arrived separately. Ashley showed with husband; while Emily and Josh arrived together. All cast but Madeleine Stowe and Amber Valletta were in attendance. The scene was fun and lively with Emily Van Camp the last to leave; and while catching a glimpse of Gabriel Mann smoking on the patio, Christa B. Allen could be spotted hanging out with fellow cast member Connor Paolo, all while noshing on tacos and drinking Svedka sweet revenge cocktails made with a Svedka Cherry vodka. A surprise guest for the night was iconic trainer and fitness guru Richard Simmons, who crashed the party. No one knew he was attending. A partygoer overheard Richard saying, “I want to meet the cast—I am a HUGE fan.”
The cast enjoyed watching a fully produced gag reel, and later thanked the crew and production with a huge Revenge cake. Joico provided travel-sized products for guests at their beauty bar station, which were K-PAK Color Therapy shampoo and conditioner and their new Power Spray, with cast and VIPs getting a choice of full-sized K-PAK and new sulfate-free Color Endure shampoos and conditioners.
