Designers scrambled to book Irina Lazareanu, this season’s catwalk favorite. And why wouldn’t they? With enormous brown eyes that peek out seductively from underneath a shock of brown bangs, she brings to fashion a swinging ’60s appeal that still feels thoroughly modern—and a bit dangerous.

Her perfect fringe, which gently grazes her eyelashes, sets her apart from the fashion pack, and was emulated at Baby Phat, Just Cavalli and Yves St. Laurent via clip-on extensions.

Elsewhere, three other bang-up chicks, Rachel Alexander, Patricia Schmid and Shannan Click, stormed the runways: Alexander with newly shorn blunt-cut bangs; Schmid with a cutesy pageboy; and Click with a shorter-than-short Betty Paige fringe.

To translate these looks in the chair, you can either chop it, block it or slither it with style. No matter the length, bangs make a big-bang impact this fall.
