Old-world opulence meets cutting-edge technology in Pchelina Nadezhda’s Empress nail art collection.
Looking more like bygone Medals of Honor than nail art, Empress, a collection of nail enhancements by Russian nail technician Pchelina Nadezhda, was inspired by Russia’s heraldic arms from the 18th to 20th centuries.
Made with Creative Nail Design acrylics and gels, Nadezhda originally entered the enhancements in a championship in Nizhini Novgorod, Russia—in which they took first place. In May, Nadezhda entered them in another competition in Moscow—this one attended by Creative Nail Design’s co-founder Jan Arnold. Since Arnold was so impressed by her handiwork, Nadezhda presented her with this stunning collection—each enhancement a dazzling, innovative work of art.
