Goldwell and KMS held the annual Hair Play International celebration at Gotham Hall in New York City. Hosted by KMS Curator Simon Miller, the highly-anticipated event, which showcased the latest in hair trends and techniques from both of the brands’ talented teams, welcomed 500 attendees, including top industry tastemakers and the hottest salon professionals.

Guests included Goldwell and KMS artists from around the globe, including Lindie Blackwell, Sonna Brado, Sam Burnett, Rebecca Hiele, Jay Mahmood, Nick Pagano, Lori Panarello, Shawna Parvin and Daniel Rubin. In addition to inspiring looks and exclusive demos of the latest offerings from Goldwell and KMS, the show featured a lively tribute to the world’s top music icons – performers like Prince, Whitney Houston, David Bowie and more – who have helped shape some of the most exciting trends in fashion, beauty and hair.

“We wanted to pay homage to the larger-than-life musical icons who have influenced hairstylists over the years,” says Sandra Humphries, Vice President of Education, Kao USA Salon Division. “These superstars have helped inform fashion, styling and color in so many unique and instrumental ways, and we thought that featuring some of their looks, as imagined by our most talented team of artists, would make for a gorgeous and exhilarating tribute, as well as a dynamic celebration of their legacy.”
