In New Jersey, A5635 is a bill that extends the next biennial renewal period, during which an individual can renew a professional license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling by a period of four months. According to the official bill statement, “this bill accounts for the lost income licensees of the Board endured during the coronavirus pandemic. The four-month extension allots time for licensees to accrue earnings that can be put towards the issuance of an initial license or renewal of a license.”
