Wella Professionals Inspires Runway Trends with Trend Vision 2012

This year's fall runways reinforced the fundamental role that hairstyle and color play in supporting the designer’s creative vision. By the way of Global Creative Directors Eugene Souleiman and Josh Wood’s interpretations of the Trend Vision trends, Wella Professionals’ position was seen on the runway leading the way in cutting edge hair fashion. Trend Vision, Wella Professionals’ forecast of the upcoming hairstyles and color palette of the season, had a solid influence on the designers’ inspirations for the holistic look delivered on the catwalks around the globe this season. Of the twenty international runway shows that both Eugene and Josh collaborated on, there were two trends that made their presence known – the trends that embody the strong personalities of Roxy and Celeste.

Roxy was a look that resonated on runways such as Hussein Chalayan, Jeremy Scott, Junya Watanabe, Donna Karan, and Comme des Garcons. These designers explored the past, playing with colorful psychedelia of the Sixties, retro-chic moods and an overtly feminine, extrovert presence much like the “good time girl” that Roxy epitomizes.
