Get the Look: Karolina Kurkova's Braided Bun by Jennifer Yepez

Celebrity hairstylist Jennifer Yepez recently worked with Karolina Kurkova for the Valentino Sala Bianca 945 Event on Wednesday, December 10th in New York, NY. Said Yepez, “Karolina's Valentino dress was beautiful and romantic so we wanted the hair to be modern and strong. We felt a center part with sleek shine would work best. We also wanted something special in the back so I created a beautiful braided bun."

Get the Look:
1. Said Yepez, “I began by spraying PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray section by section and blew the hair dry using a Mason Pearson brush. I made sure to spray from roots to ends in order to get a better grip on the ponytail and to make the hair thicker for the braid.

2. "Once the hair was dry, I created the center part. I used the Mason Pearson to smooth the hair and make the ponytail, securing it with a hook elastic. Once secured, I sprayed Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray throughout the ponytail to give it volume and a bit of texture.

3. "Next, I braided the ponytail and secured it with a small elastic. I carefully shaped the braid to Karolina's head and used small hair pins (matching her hair color) to pin it in place. I sprayed a bit of Kerastase Laque Couture Hairspray to tame fly-aways. I also used a tail comb on the back of the braid to tuck in any loose ends and a small teasing brush (a toothbrush works well too!) to smooth the front of the hair.

4. "I finished with Kerastase Touche Finale for extra shine and she was ready carpet ready!"
