Get the Look: Cotton Candy Hair Color by Toni Rose Larson

Toni Rose Larson, Artist/Owner at Hairitage Salon in Carlsbad, CA, recently created this gorgeous, multi-dimensional, cotton candy pink hair color for her client. Below, she shares her tips on creating this pretty-in-pastel look!

Says Larson, "Some of the questions I think about before starting on a clients color are: What is this particular head of hair capable of becoming? What formulations can make this come to life? What will my project require?" Trends aside, knowing what will look best on your client is essential for stunning results like this.

Get the Look:
1. Says Larson, "Decolorize with Pravana 000 Lightening Booster & 20 Vol. Apply 1 inch away from client's scalp.

2. "While this is processing, retouch client's base with lightener 20 Vol and Olaplex. Allow to process at room temperature for 25 minutes. Rinse, shampoo, condition, and blow-dry."

PRAVANA  
Formula #1: 2oz Pink +1oz Pastel Too Cute Coral +1/2oz Silver
Formula #2: 1oz Pink +2oz Pastel Pretty in Pink +2oz Pastel Too Cute Coral
+ A ribbon of Silver.

3. "Apply Formula #1. Re-touch client's base, pulling through around her face to create dimension, leaving the lightest hair free from color.

4. "Apply Formula #2. Apply from base, pulling color through around client's face and through client's ends. Allow to process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo, and condition.

5. "I gave my client a textured cut to create more movement! Blow-dry and style."
