Celebrity Stylist Ted Gibson shares his favorite fall hair trends:
The Deep Side Part/The Modern Bun/Sleek, Shiny Hair and sleek shiny hair. The side part is so sexy and helps to open up the face. I love the bun for this fall – it’s classic, strong and can be easily worn from day to night. Sleek, shiny hair is also making a comeback. For the Carmen Marc Valvo show, I wanted the look to have a brilliant shine, for it to look almost like glass.”
To create the look, Ted first parted the hair with a deep side part, and then flat ironed it straight. Next, liberally apply tame it lotion to the hair while brushing it back into a secure pony tail with an elastic at the nape of the neck. Twist hair tightly then wrap hair triangularly around the elastic. Secure with pins.
Ted also incorporated the sleek, shiny look for Ashley Greene’s hair for the Samsung Galaxy SIII Launch.
Twistse and flair that twisted hair brings. So major!”
To recreate her look, start with wet hair and spray Build It blow drying hair spray, then blow dry hair. Sweep styling hair sheets and spray beautiful hold hair spray throughout hair. Next, starting at the crown plait about 7 braids, breaking them apart to give them an imperfect effect - almost as if a little girl braided them. Finish by pinning the braids down around hair and pull hair back into a chignon using beautiful hold hairspray to keep everything in place.
Bone Straight Hairok and is appropriate for most any outfit or occasion.”
To create this look, Ted began with a deep center part, then blow dried the hair in ¼ sections using build it blow dry spray to take the volume out of the hair. Next, he bluntly trimmed the ends, then flat ironed the hair bone straight. Finish the look with beautiful hold hairspray.
