Sure, he's an accomplished actor, singer, songwriter and director, nominated for numerous awards, taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Dallas Buyers Club last year, but in the beauty world, Jared Leto has recently become known (and admired) for his lustrous, flowing, perfectly ombré locks. Since 2012, he's been sporting long, sun-kissed strands, often times tied back into a subtle ponytail or casual "man bun." But sadly, those days are over.
A recent post by David Ayer, director of the upcoming film, Suicide Squad, to Twitter revealed a pair of shears mere inches from Leto's famous ponytail with the caption, "Should we?" Not long after, Ayer posted a follow up picture of Leto's new, shorter crop, a look that was reportedly required for his role as The Joker in Suicide Squad.
As for what Leto thinks of the new look? A post to his Instagram with the caption, "I miss my beard already" shows that he just might be on the same page as the rest of America.
