Ana de Armas wore a silvery Louis Vuitton dress to the Academy Awards, and her dark hair contrasted the dress perfectly.

Celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho (@jennychohair) created de Armas' hair look for the night using products and tools from T3

"I wanted to showcase her beautiful brown hair, the dark silhouette against all the lighter palettes," Cho said of her inspiration for the look.

If you want to recreate this style for your clients, you can follow the tutorial below.

How-To:

  1. Gently brush out towel-dried hair with T3’s detangling brush, so the products can evenly apply. Then, apply Rene Furterer Blow Out Balm to smooth the hair, and mist Rene Furterer Thermal Protecting Spray to protect strands from the heat.
  2. Blow dry hair with the T3 AireLuxe Hair Dryer and T3 Volume 3.0 and Volume 2.5 round brushes. Turn on the Volume Boost Switch, adding a slight body and volume to the crown area and to smooth the tips.
  3. Add hair extensions for length, and cut to the desired length. Cho and de Armas had Cher in mind for this step in the look.
  4. Starting at the nape, use the T3 Switch Kit Curl Trio 1 ½ inch clip barrel iron to create soft, lived-in waves. Pin each curl to cool in order to set. The CeraGloss Ceramic barrels are key to ensure smooth curls that hold throughout the entire night.
  5. Once the hair is set, loosen up the curls and mist the hair with Rene Furterer Style Shine Mist. Finalize the curls with Rene Furterer Finishing Spray.
