UNITE’s Gary Baker Taps Italian Influence in Latest Artistic Endeavor

Gary Baker, creative director of UNITE, has done hair for countless editorial shoots across the world—so it comes as no surprise that he tapped one of the biggest beauty bibles known to man, Italian Vogue, as inspiration for his new shoot. The collection sources looks from the ’80s and ’90s while highlighting different mane layering methods. The result? A diverse range of styles that showcase the true scope of hair artistry. Bellissimo!

  • Simple Sophistication

This halo-shaped bob is dressed for a minimalist finish.

  • Think Chic

One-length hair is given an extremely texturized finish to define its pyramid shape.

  • Texture Message

A dual textured ’do is flat-wrapped with dry ends, then expanded on the bottom to add juxtaposition.

  • Volume's Up

Long hair with minimal layers is made massive by teasing with fingers in small sections so as not to lose any definition.
