A visual feast awaited the intimate crowd at the Wella Studio L.A. last night with Sebastian Professional’s debut of its Metamorphik collection. International Artist Marylle Koken, NAHA winner and Design Team Member Anthony Cress and Studio Artist Frank Andrade brought the collection to life onstage in front of a select group of stylists and salon owners. The looks highlighted the launch of two innovative products—Eruptek and Resintek. Eruptek employs volcanic ash to create explosive, matte volume, while Resintek taps liquefied sap to make hair moldable with intense shine.

The debut also shed light on the What’s Next Awards, which encourages stylists to take their creativity to the next level with a chance to compete at the live finale at the Ice Palace in Miami, Florida, February 21, 2016. New this year is the Affiliated Artist category—in addition to the Professional and Student categories—which allows Sebastian pros also enter the competition. Entries are accepted from August 1 to November 30, and interpret the Metamorphik trend collection.
