For the 8th Annual Supima Design Competition during Paris Fashion Week, the cotton brand showed winning looks from students of top design schools. Inspired by the unique pairing of cotton-made evening wear, Aveda Guest Artist Jon Reyman created a youthful and wearable style. “This flower petal-shaped knot is fanned out for an edgy, but refined look,” Reyman says. “Showing in the heart of Paris, I wanted the hair to be high-fashion and fun.”

Get the Look:

  1. With hair hanging naturally, spray the entire head with Aveda Thickening Tonic to add fullness to the hair.
  2. Blow dry the hair back, focusing on the root.
  3. Pull hair into a high, tight ponytail and secure with an elastic.
  4. Taking the middle of the ponytail, slightly twist and pull hair over the base of the pony to create a knot, making sure to leave the ends out. Secure with hair pins.
  5. Finish with a light mist of Aveda Air Control Hair Spray.
