Step 9:  Create an octagon parting on the top section. Twist the hair toward the left and cut from behind.

Step 10:   In the layered area on top, take diagonal sections parallel to the sides of the octagon parting (Step 9) and point cut to shorten.

Step 11:  Repeat Step 10 in the back.
