OPI Unveils City of Hope Promotion

OPI announces the launch of the new City of Hope limited promotion to celebrate City of Hope 2012 Spirit of Life Honoree George Schaeffer. Each display features four bestselling OPI nail lacquers, including Bubble Bath, Cajun Shrimp, Strawberry Margarita and You Don’t Know Jacques! OPI will donate $6.00 for each display sold directly to City of Hope for the research and treatment of diabetes.

“I am extremely honored to be this year’s City of Hope Spirit of Life Honoree, and I wanted bring new national attention to this wonderful organization,” said Schaeffer, OPI President.  “With the help of the beauty industry, my goal is to raise and donate at least five million dollars toward diabetes research at City of Hope, of which I will personally match up to $2.5 million. With this new OPI promotion and the support of people across the country, I believe we will make great strides in achieving this goal.”

This limited edition promotion includes 12 nail lacquers (three of each shade) in a colorful display featuring artwork designed by City of Hope patients. The promotion is available only in the US beginning April 2012 at professional salons.

Schaeffer will be presented with City of Hope’s distinguished Spirit of Life Award on July 21, 2012, during the Professional Beauty Association Beauty Week, hosted by Cosmoprof North America, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
