Today, you will get to know Madison Bland (@madisoncate). She is a 27-year-old stylist at Parlor 222 in Reno, Nevada.
Q&A:
Beauty Launchpad (BLP): What is a fun fact about you?
Madison Bland (MB): I am a total kid at heart! I love Disneyland and collecting “Alice in Wonderland” pins. I love playing board games and rewatching my favorite childhood movies!
BLP: What is your proudest accomplishment?
MB: Becoming a mother – hardest and most rewarding thing in my life!!
BLP: What is your current favorite hair trend?
MB: TEXTURE! I love when styles show texture using product building and shaping techniques. The more movement, the better!
BLP: What is a hair tip you have for your fellow stylists?
MB: Find what you love to do, and DO IT BIG! Don’t try to fit into what other stylists are doing! I promise you will find YOUR clients!
BLP: What do you love about your work?
MB: I love that no two styles will ever look the same! Even using the same techniques in portions of the styles, they’ll always be different and perfectly customized to my clients!
BLP: What motivates you about the industry you are in?
MB: When I start finding those amazing clients who truly are everything I want in a client – the friend I knew I needed to find, It motivates me to ensure anyone in my life deserves to be there!
BLP: What is a professional goal you have for yourself?
MB: I have a goal to work a minimum of four weddings in a year that are not in my area! I want to travel, do hair and enjoy every second of it all!
