The Inspiration: “Carmen’s inspiration for this collection was Victorian punk, so we wanted to create something that was fun and downtown chic, yet really dramatic. After seeing the dark vibe of the collection I immediately thought of Edward Scissorhands and Winona Ryder’s character Lydia in the movie Beetlejuice, hence the beetle and scarab barrettes to top off the look!” says Gibson.
The Hero Product: L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.Art Architexture Matte Defining Paste. “After we create the ponytail, we’re putting this on our fingers and then coating and twisting 1/4-inch sections of hair to form our dreadlocks,” says Gibson.
