Haircare brand KEVIN.MURPHY, creator of COLOR.BUG, recently teamed up with Bangstyle, an online hair community for consumers and stylists, to announce the hair color contest: POP.OF.COLOUR. From September 14, 2015 through November 13, 2015, stylists can visit Bangstyle.com or the Bangstyle app to redeem a free COLOR.BUG (shipping and handling fee applies). Those who redeem or purchase COLOR.BUG at a salon are encouraged to return to Bangstyle to upload their color look and tag #POPOFCOLOUR to be entered into the contest. A pop art-inspired photo template will be applied to submitted looks, and all photos will be displayed on Bangstyle.com for visitors to see.

At the end of the contest, Kevin Murphy, KEVIN.MURPHY stylist and founder, will handpick his two favorite looks. One consumer will be awarded a prize package of KEVIN.MURPHY product valued at $500, and one stylist will win a full selection of KEVIN.MURPHY products valued at almost $1,900.

“COLOR.BUG allows people to experiment with color and texture without commitment. Clients can create the latest runway trends or make a wild and drastic change to their look – for just one night,” says Murphy. “COLOR.BUG is easy to use, it’s inexpensive, and most of all, it’s fun.”

“The possibilities for hairstyles are endless with COLOR.BUG. We’ve seen so many creative looks incorporating pastel, bright, and metallic hues, ranging from barely there streaks to bold full heads of rainbow hair. Through the POP.OF.COLOUR contest, we’re ready to be inspired by artists and amateurs alike,” adds Bangstyle President Ashlee Levitch.

Visit Bangstyle.com or the Bangstyle App September 14, 2015 – November 13, 2015 to see POP.OF.COLOUR images or to submit to the contest. A COLOR.BUG can be redeemed for free with a $9.95 shipping and handling charge for North American residents.
