How to Get The Looks: Moroccanoil for Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier FW18

Moroccanoil did themselves proud this year at Bridal Fashion week. Artistic Director, Kevin Hughes was in charge of all the hairstyles at the Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier shows, and Launchpad has the steps to recreate the bridal beauty for your clients!

Marchesa Couture - Faux Bob

Moroccanoil

  1. To create the perfect foundation for styling, prep damp hair with a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine.

  2. Apply Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse generously throughout the hair for maximum volume.

  3. Mist Moroccanoil Perfect Defense throughout prior to blow drying to protect hair against heat styling.

  4. Blow dry hair with a Moroccanoil Ceramic 45mm Round Brush and create a deep right side part.

  5. Take one inch sections of hair pinching closer to the scalp and wrap horizontally around the curling iron in the same direction.

  6. Use a Moroccanoil 25mm Boar Bristle Round Brush to shape curls into a smooth wave.

  7. Gather hair in the back and secure ends in an elastic band, rolling it upwards to create a faux bob. Pin to keep in place.

  8. Spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray to accomplish carefree, textured volume.

  9. Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to set the style.

Marchesa Couture – Upsweep

  1. To create the perfect foundation for styling, prep damp hair with a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine.
  2. Apply Moroccanoil Root Boost to create volume and texture.
  3. Mist Moroccanoil Perfect Defense throughout prior to blow drying to protect hair against heat styling.
  4. Create a center part and blow dry the hair using a Moroccanoil Ceramic 45mm Round Brush.
  5. Take 1 ¼ inch sections and twist around 1 ¼ inch curling iron alternating directions for every other section.
  6. Comb through hair with a Moroccanoil Detangling Comb to loosen curls for a more relaxed look.
  7. Pull the hair back using an elastic band to secure in a low pony, applying Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray on the tail. Pull the hair that frames the forehead gently forward to create a soft feel.
  8. Twist the ponytail into a bun and secure with bobby pins.
  9. Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to set the style.

 Marchesa NOTTE

Moroccanoil

  1. To create the perfect foundation for styling, prep damp hair with a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine.
  2. Apply Moroccanoil Thickening Lotion throughout the hair to create volume.
  3. Spray Moroccanoil Perfect Defense generously throughout to protect against heat styling.
  4. Take a 1 ½ inch section and wrap hair around a 1 ¼ inch curling iron down towards the ends. Alternate directions for every other section to create broken waves.
  5. Spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray onto each section of hair to create grip and grit, making the curls easier to manage.
  6. Tease hair at the crown and create a half pony tail, securing with an elastic band.
  7. Comb through the hair with a Moroccanoil Detangling Comb for a more relaxed, wavy look.
  8. To ornament the hair, tie a wide ribbon into a relaxed bow around the half pony tail.
  9. Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to set the style.

Monique Lhuillier Collection

Moroccanoil

  1. To create the perfect foundation for styling, prep damp hair with a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine.
  2. Apply Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream throughout the hair to control frizz and stray hairs.
  3. Use a Moroccanoil 25mm Boar Bristle Round Brush to blow dry the hair.
  4. Create a center part and bring the hair into a low ponytail and secure. Loosen the hairs framing the face.
  5. Apply another layer of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream to the ponytail twisting into a smooth low bun then secure in place with bobby pins.
  6. Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray and Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to set the style.

Monique Lhuillier Bliss

  1.  To create the perfect foundation for styling, prep damp hair with a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine.
  2. Spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray all over the head to create grit and grip for more manageable curls.
  3. Create a center part and spray Moroccanoil Perfect Defense generously throughout to protect against heat styling. Take 1 ¼ inch sections and twist around a 1 ¼ inch curling iron in opposite directions.
  4. Comb through with a Moroccanoil Detangling Comb to achieve loose, relaxed waves.
  5. If needed, spray additional Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray for added grit.
  6. Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to set the style.
