Bosley Healthy Hair

Healthy hair begins with a healthy scalp. Understanding this simple yet essential concept was the driving force behind creating our exclusive professional- only Scalp Micro-Dermabrasion 2-Step System. We encourage clients to start with a Bosley Professional Scalp Micro-Dermabrasion treatment every four to six weeks for the first few months, then to book as needed. We designed the treatment as a first step in introducing the salon client to our thinning hair regimens: The treatment helps to remove buildup from sebaceous oils, product resins and environmental debris, and buildup can compromise scalp health. This microdermabrasion service—made with diatomaceous earth to remove impurities, maple sugar extract to dissolve oils and buildup, and pomegranate to stimulate cell turnover—helps remove sebum from the follicle and enhance the performance of our leave-in treatments, while the product’s green tea and lemon extracts protect and condition the scalp. The service is also great for anyone with a dry or oily scalp, or a client who has a lot of buildup on his or her hair and scalp.

Bosley Scalp Scrub

“Because of the high-fashion haircolor trend, less frequent shampooing and the extensive use of styling products that can create buildup, we felt a need to have an at- home, gentle, natural-based scalp exfoliator that can be used one to three times a month. We designed our new in-between salon appointment exfoliator, Rejuvenating Scalp Scrub, to refresh and remove excess buildup for healthier scalp and hair. While many scalp exfoliants on the market are chemical exfoliants, Rejuvenating Scalp Scrub is a physical exfoliant that features activated bamboo charcoal to remove compromising debris and purify scalp and hair. Sunflower seed oil and shea butter soothe and moisturize, while rosemary leaf extract—rich in iron, calcium and phytonutrients—provides youth-boosting antioxidant protection. Tea tree leaf oil soothes dry or itchy scalp while oils of orange, tangerine and lime produce free radical protection for healthier hair and skin.

“Of course, as we treat the scalp, we need to ensure that our hair is strong and nourished. at’s why we complete either the in-salon or at-home scalp exfoliation with the Healthy Hair Moisture Masque. Our intensive conditioner for hair that has been depleted of moisture contains Brazilian palm tree and avocado oils, as well as shea and mango butters, to add tremendous sheen and moisture to dull, dry locks.”
