recent CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event in Los Angeles, CA featured Living Proof products and stylists from the Chris McMillan salon. The celebrity-packed event was the perfect showcase to spotlight a range of different hairstyles, from casual, relaxed buns, to rock-and-roll curls, to sleek, modern ponytails.

INSPIRATION: Textured and dressed-up “messy” bun
TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I started out by applying Prime on damp hair, along with some Full Thickening Mousse at the root to give the hair body. Then I blew out the hair and used a curling iron and Amp to create textured waves. I pulled the hair up into a simple and slightly messy bun that is still dressed up and chic. To pull the look together, I sprayed Hold hairspray on the finished bun to keep it in place”

INSPIRATION: Old Hollywood Glamour
TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I started out by applying PHD on damp hair and blew out hair completely. I then layered Flex Shaping Spray heavily throughout the hair while curling into sections. I let the hair set for 10 minutes and brushed out to create textured waves while still adding in Flex Shaping Spray. I created a deep part and pinned the hair behind her ears leaving the back waves soft and natural. To pull the look together, I used Satin HSair Serum to add shine and tame flyaways.”

“Imogen has naturally curly hair, so I took her curls and separated them while using a curling iron to add a few piecey curls. Then I applied some Amp to the hair to create a little more body and texture. We kept it simple, but full and voluminous.”

INSPIRATION: Effortless modern 60s pony with volume and texture
TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I started out using No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. I then applied a pea-size amount of Amp to towel-dried hair and combed through blowing drying some. I followed up with PHD and blew out hair completely. I used a small amount of satin hair serum to tame frizz and add sleekness to the look. I pulled hair back into a low pony and tied the look together with Flex Shaping Spray. Overall I was going for a really effortless, simple and fresh look.”
