It was a sad day for the beauty and fashion industry, January 29th, 2013 when famous fashion stylist, David Widjaja, passed away.
His death shocked everyone. Not only did Widjaja inspire most people with his tasteful and exhilarating wardrobe, but he was the go-to fashion guru for many designers and celebrities from coast to coast. He traveled the world styling covers for all the big names. He was the fashion force behind many of the industry’s most beautiful and iconic photos.
He collaborated heavily with ICA Fashion Director/HairdesignerTV Founder Vivienne Mackinder.
"David was the fashion face of HairDesignerTV. He was such a great creative talent--David pushed me, challenged me and would have the courage to tell me to rethink my work when it did not fit the story. I loved our collaboration and our friendship; his passing is such a tragic loss. I am so, so sad….I miss him so much," quotes Mackinder.
Here at Launchpad, we are saddened by David’s death and though we grieve inside, we want to celebrate his life and work.
