Haircolor How To: Nordic Blonde by Joi Rooks

It may be warm outside, but icy, Nordic, blonde hair can keep guests cool this summer. Joi Rooks, owner of fresche salon (Atlanta, GA), shares her formula.

“My client came in with level 5 dark hair and wanted to be as light blonde as I could take her… I approached this as a virgin application, leaving the roots out,” says Rooks.

Get the Look:
1. Apply Goldwell Oxycur Platin and 40 volume to mid-shaft and ends; process for 30 minutes.

2. Apply the same to roots and process for 25 minutes.

3. Shampoo with Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair Shampoo.  

4. Mix Goldwell Elumen SV @10 with a splash of AN @5, apply and process for 20 minutes.  

“The key to this color is maintaining touchups; she will need them about every 3-4 weeks,” adds Rooks.
